BioI'm an attorney. I live in Alabama with my wife (![[info]](http://l-stat.livejournal.com/img/userinfo.gif)
sherbsp), my dog, and my cat. I'm originally from Baton Rouge, LA. I graduated from LSU in 1996. I spent a few years as a chemical engineer and then decided to go to law school.
My journal is mainly about me fretting about getting older, me complaining about work, me listening to music, me watching TV, me talking aboutsherbsp, or me talking about friends old and new. I seem to have a constant mid-life crisis. I complain that most of the music I like is ten years old or older. I complain that I've become responsible. I complain about not having strong emotional reactions to things anymore like I did when I was 20-something and younger.
But despite my complaining, I'm a pretty happy guy. I'm just not a kid anymore, and that can be depressing sometimes. And when I get depressed about not being a kid anymore, I tend to update my journal.
If I could do anything at all for a living, I would be a writer. I'd write popular fiction that people would realize 20 years later was really literature. Unfortunately, I have no talent for writing fiction, so I'm a lawyer. You can't always get what you want. Hey, that's pretty catchy. Someone should write a song about it.
